Church Services - Sunday Morning

Sunday Morning Service

We meet at 9:30am at the Stanthorpe Presbyterian Church building at 14a Leslie Parade, Stanthorpe. Visitors are most welcome to meet with us for worship.

This space is big enough for our whole church to meet with ample space for Visitors, Kids' Church and car parking.

Audio recordings of messages can be found on the Messages page. Videos of the Sunday services are on the Stanthorpe Presbyterian Church public YouTube channel.

The service

At Stanthorpe Presbyterian Church we meet together at 9:30am for our weekly worship service. This service includes singing of traditional hymns and contemporary Christian songs, a time of pastoral prayer, Bible reading, and a talk about one of the Bible passages read.

Talks about the Bible are clear and simple. Our aim is that all those who attend be well informed about what the Bible teaches, and consequently to live lives that are acceptable to both God and others.

Kid's Church

During school terms, a Kids' Church for children is organised and held while the Bible message is given in the main auditorium. Prior to the message, children are invited to exit to attend the Kids' Church.

Talks about the Bible are clear and simple and appropriate for the age of the children. The Kid's Church ends at the same time as the main service.

On arrival (before the service begins), parents should indicate their permission for their children to attend.

Morning Tea

Following the service, a morning tea is usually provided. This is a time to meet with others and to have discussions with members, the minister or elders, over a tea or coffee with light refreshments. It is a wonderful time of fellowship.

Church Services - Home Groups

Home Groups

Several Home Groups are organized to meet at acceptable times during the week.

These home groups may meet at the church building or in members' homes. The Home Groups consists of people who meet together for social interaction, Bible discussion, and prayer. An elder is assigned to lead the group in studies which usually follow the messages given in the previous Sunday Service.

All are welcome to attend one of these groups. Please contact the minister to determine which home group is suitable for you, based on size, time and location.
